Katy Perry - California Gurl

California Gurls! I'm really addicted to this song right now which led me to bump up doing a portrait of Katy Perry. Another thing was the cover art for it, it was the perfect reference to use of her!

I was so into drawing Katy that I finished her pretty fast. Recently I would finish a portrait in a week, but for this one I finished it in TWO days! Of course I worked all day on her today. I spent around two and a half hours on her hair!! Anyway there was some pattern on the umbrella that was behind her. I originally wanted to draw that, but after I finished Katy, I changed my mind.... as the pattern would have taken another hour to do and the main focus is on KATY PERRY, the Californian Gurl!
